Happy birthday :-)

Hi everyone,
our state's (Florida) assessment test the fabulous FCAT is in two weeks which means for teachers all over we're running like chickens without heads! I managed to squeeze two simple cards last night. I used one of my fave cart "Doodlecharms" to cut the party hats. The card with the single card is pop-dotted on a shadow of the same cut for dimension. The other card I simply used the border option for the party hat. I also used my Cuttlebug folder and the new borders again (love them!), some stickles and voila!

I'm going to try and make a couple of cards everyday no matter how simple they are so that I can have a nice stash for family and friends. Thanks for looking <3

Cards using my pixie :-)

I received the Singer Pixie for V-Day and I am already in love because I wanted to add sewing to my cards for the longest......I have never taken a class on sewing 101, my good friend Cesca tried teaching how to thread the machine and I just could not get it.....so I really wanted something really simple to use and I've finally found it in my little Pixie :-)

I made two fun and colorful cards with it last weekend, they are actually colorful because I was successful changing the color of the thread (to orange) and was afraid to mess it up by taking it out lol so with my white cardstock cutout from my cricut and orange sewing on it I had to make a very cheerful card or two :-) :-) The lady owl is a stamp from Hero Arts. TFL!

So much goodies :-)

I took advantage of the long weekend to stock up on papercrafting goodies :-) YAY!!! Have you seen the new stacks from DCWV, they are gorgeous and on sale at Joann's for only $9.99!!! I am so happy I was able to get the "Garden Party" and the "Whimsy Stack". Too cute!! I finally got lucky and also found some border folders for my cutllebug and have started putting them to good use! YAY! And finally....drumroll I found the refill sheets for the clear stamps for my cricut! I can't wait to make my own stamps and see how they turn out I will be sure to share. I just need to get the deep cut blade this weekend :-)

More V-Day

I realized that the Owl cards (they were a lot of fun to make at my local scrapbook store on "Whatever Wednesday", if you are in S.Florida check out Josie at Stamp-a-lot!) are really blurry so here they are along with the card I made my hubby <3

Valentine's Cards Recap

Hi guys,
I hope everyone had a beautiful Valentine's Day and hopefully a relaxing long weekend if you also had the day off yesterday :-) I didn't get a chance to post my Valentine's Day cards so beware this post will be on picture-overload mode :-)

Sweet as candy!

I made this card for my little cousin and decided to finally enter a challenge (actually 2!!). Twice I tried and then looked at the submission and thought mine was too ugly lol

Over at BBTB the challenge is to use the hearts from the DoodleCharm cartridge. I used two of the hearts from the cart. and embossed it with my cuttlebug which is great because the challenge at the Cuttlebug spot this week is to make a Valentine's card for a kid :-) Thanks for looking.

Diaper Cakes

Hi everyone,
I made my first ever diaper cakes for a really good friend and colleague's shower last week. I opted to make them as centerpieces and did a total of 10 (lots of work lol) It took a total of 270 diapers (27 diapers each cake). She is having twins (a boy and a girl) and loves disney so I used my Mickey and Friends cartridge to cut out the blacked-out face of Mickey in pink and blue. Thanks for looking :-)
