I loved the simplicity of this card and decided to make a bunch for my Christmas cards this year. The snowflake is a MS punch, then the circle and scallop are SU! punches. TFL <3

I'm BACK!!!
Wow! I have been gone for quite a while for my blog. First away on vacation in my beautiful country Haiti for a couple of months and then back to the hard (super duper hard) work with school that reopened and my new responsibilities this year.
I have not stopped making cards though so I have lots and lots of fun cards and projects I worked on while I was away that I will share with you.
I am also very excited that my first Stampin'Up! Open House was a lot of fun, thanks for coming girls (I will share more in another post). For now here are some fun cards I worked on to share with my fellow SU! demonstrators in our wonderful group "Divas in Paradise".

Cute Owls :-)
I absolutely love the owl from Wild Card and was thrilled to make some birthday cards for my fellow teacher and friend Rachel to give to her sorority sisters since that is their animal. I used her sorority colors also for the owls and instead of making the matching envelope used one of my little owl stamps from Hero Arts on a square white envelope (the owl card fits perfectly in the square envelopes by the way). Thanks for looking :-)

Simple and Eco-friendly :-)
Administrative Professional Gifts
Hi guys,
the support staff (secretaries, treasurer, registrar...) at my school is absolutely the best so on Administrative Professional Day I wanted to make them something nice that they can actually use everyday as opposed to the usual candy they get all the time.
This project was fun to put together. All you need are:
-clear acrylic photo frame
-designer paper of your choice (I prefer to use double-sided paper)
-RSVP pens
-Sticky Velcro
-Post-it notes (sticky notes)
-Red tape (Terrifically tacky)
TADA!! :-)

Cricut Mat Tutorial
Not too long ago someone on the Cricut MB posted some information on how to reuse your mats and I said to myself I want to try this to see if it worked. This weekend I went to all my craft stores and could not find the 12X12 mats anywhere. So I decided to try the method of scrubbing and applying the glue on the mat and guess what? It worked!!!! I was so excited I did at least 4 mats (yes I have been saving all of my mats lol). I was so happy I decided to do my first video tutorial to share with you guys. Be easy on the editing this is my very first video :-)

Local Scrapbook Love <3
There is really nothing like a local scrapbook store (AKA "LSS"), the owner is a crafter with tons of talents, loves to show you new techiniques and unlike major chain stores know about the new and old products ancd can show you about them!
No matter what the coupons and incentives I have always loved visiting my LSS and did so nonstop when I lived in Tallahassee, FL (the capital).
I am truly saddened by the state of our economy and the effect it has had on our LSSs all over the US. I was really involved during my undergrad years in Tallahassee with my LSS, always participated in classes and even helped to teach some............absolutely loved it! I moved to South Florida after graduation and shortly started my grad studies and a family so I did not get too much into the scrapping scene until I first got my cricut that I wanted for so long and most importantly falling in love with a local scrapbbok store called "Stamp-A-Lot"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The owner is truly as my students would put it "The BOMB!" and it is always a joy to go there and find new goodies or enjoy a class.
I say all of this to encourage you all to support your LSS because they are truly unique and any true paper scrapper genuinely want to preserve them :-)

Happy birthday :-)
Hi everyone,
our state's (Florida) assessment test the fabulous FCAT is in two weeks which means for teachers all over we're running like chickens without heads! I managed to squeeze two simple cards last night. I used one of my fave cart "Doodlecharms" to cut the party hats. The card with the single card is pop-dotted on a shadow of the same cut for dimension. The other card I simply used the border option for the party hat. I also used my Cuttlebug folder and the new borders again (love them!), some stickles and voila!
I'm going to try and make a couple of cards everyday no matter how simple they are so that I can have a nice stash for family and friends. Thanks for looking <3

Cards using my pixie :-)
I received the Singer Pixie for V-Day and I am already in love because I wanted to add sewing to my cards for the longest......I have never taken a class on sewing 101, my good friend Cesca tried teaching how to thread the machine and I just could not get it.....so I really wanted something really simple to use and I've finally found it in my little Pixie :-)
I made two fun and colorful cards with it last weekend, they are actually colorful because I was successful changing the color of the thread (to orange) and was afraid to mess it up by taking it out lol so with my white cardstock cutout from my cricut and orange sewing on it I had to make a very cheerful card or two :-) :-) The lady owl is a stamp from Hero Arts. TFL!

So much goodies :-)
I took advantage of the long weekend to stock up on papercrafting goodies :-) YAY!!! Have you seen the new stacks from DCWV, they are gorgeous and on sale at Joann's for only $9.99!!! I am so happy I was able to get the "Garden Party" and the "Whimsy Stack". Too cute!! I finally got lucky and also found some border folders for my cutllebug and have started putting them to good use! YAY! And finally....drumroll I found the refill sheets for the clear stamps for my cricut! I can't wait to make my own stamps and see how they turn out I will be sure to share. I just need to get the deep cut blade this weekend :-)
